| You will have the opportunity to hear and understand some of the claims made by Dan Brown in his novel The Da Vinci Code. You will be challenged to start thinking about the implications of Brown’s allegations and to consider the historical framework for the narrative. |

| We look at Jesus in view of his ministry initiatives as well as his personal relationships and in so doing begin to expose the dubiousness of Brown’s claims. The reliability of the Christian Bible and compare it to the Nag Hammadi texts (also known as the Gnostic Gospels). We examine Brown’s claims regarding the canon of scripture and the role of Constantine at Nicea. |
