Pastor Bill is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute, and originally trained as a missionary. Until 1997 he was bi-vocational, working in management and in financial services at the same time that he was serving as a pastor. He studied at Reformed Theological Seminary and Oxford Graduate School, receiving his M. Litt. in Religion and Society Studies with an emphasis in Family Life Education. He graduated in 2012 with a Ph.D. in ethics through Birmingham University, Birmingham, UK and began teaching Philosophy and Ethics at Husson University and Philosophy at Grace Evangelical Theological Seminary since 2012. He is ordained with the Christian Reformed Churches of North America, and heads a Leadership Development Network for Classis Atlantic Northeast, as well as serving on their Church Planting and Development Board. He remains active with the Pastor Theologian Project and Free Indeed Ministries and has served on the board of Alpha New England.

In addition to pastoring and teaching at First Baptist, Bill remains involved with the community.  He is frequently a speaker in schools, and at conventions, youth camps, and universities. Some of the areas he addresses are: Human Sexuality, Attachment, Christianity and Science, Worldview Studies, and Common Objections to the Christian Faith.

In his free time Bill enjoys long distance sea kayaking, hiking, weight training, cross country skiing, and hanging out with his grandkids.
